Vacation-rental site sues city over home-sharing regs

In addition to arguing that Chicago's home sharing ordinance is unconstitutional, HomeAway argues that the ordinance "tilts the playing field" in favor of rival Airbnb. While HomeAway, which doesn't collect commissions from property owners who use its service, is considered an "advertising platform" under the ordinance, Airbnb, which does collect commissions, is considered an "intermediary."
